Why choose this tour ?

Explore the cultural and historical richness of Mexico City with a guided tour of its best attractions and monuments in the Historic Center. The city of Tenochtitlan was the religious and political center of the Mexicas, and its Templo Mayor or Huey Teocalli was the building most important of that great pre-Hispanic city. There the four directions of the Earth and the axis of the three levels of life converged: heaven, earth and the underworld. Two sacred mountains were represented in the Huey Teocalli: the Cerro de los Mantenimientos or Tonacatépetl, to the north, arsenal of human food, and Coatépec, Cerro de las Serpientes, to the south, cradle of Huitzilopochtli. In our second stop we will visit El Zócalo, also known as the Plaza de la Constitución. Admire the art nouveau exterior of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, and then head towards the Palacio Nacional. This centuries-old construction was built on the grounds of Moctezuma's former residence.

The Metropolitan Cathedral is one of the most important temples in America, its majestic proportions making it a masterpiece. It frames the north side of the Zócalo Capitalino and is the most representative monument of the Historic Center of Mexico City. The prolonged construction from 1573 to 1813 is a compendium of architectural styles that successively predominated in the New Spanish era.

The construction of the Postal Palace lasted just under five years and was in charge of the Italian architect Adamo Boari and the Mexican engineer Gonzalo Garita The agreed styles for the construction of the building were Plateresque and Elizabethan and it is due to the combination of both that the style is considered eclectic. The building consisting of four levels. Its five façades are covered with finely carved Chiluca quarry and in them stand out the gargoyles, lampposts and the monumental German-manufactured clock that was assembled in our country.

Built on the ruins of the New Houses of Moctezuma Xocoyotzin, the National Palace has been the seat of power and sovereignty of the Mexican people since the 16th century. Within its walls, great figures of national history have inhabited and worked, from viceroys, emperors and presidents, such as the famous Count of Revillagigedo, Agustín de Iturbide, Benito Juárez and Porfirio Díaz, to important figures of universal literature, such as Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz. This venue has not only been the heart, but also a faithful witness and participant in the future of our country.

The Templo Mayor site includes a series of constructions, buildings, pyramids, and sanctuaries. The main tower had two Teocalli sanctuaries at the top and from there, one could tour all the most important aspects of the political, religious and economic life of the city.

The Palacio de Bellas Artes was completed by the architect Mariscal on March 10, 1934. Remodeling From 2008 to 2010, the largest intervention made to its theater and performance hall was carried out, in which platforms, stage equipment, stage, pit, lighting, acoustics, booths and seats. Other rehabilitations have been carried out in the enclosure, among which the construction of the underground parking lot stands out in 1993; a year later, the remodeling of the exhibition halls of the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes; and from 2000 to 2004, the restoration of its domes.
