Upon arriving in Ceiba, we will commence with a 25-30 minute hike, which includes a brief river trek. Once we enter the outskirts of the forest, you will climb through rocks and trees to reach the pristine natural pools and waterfalls. Here, you can also swing from a rope or cliff jump. We will spend some time here before proceeding to the next stop, an advanced hike to higher natural pools that lead to exciting natural waterslides. We then return through the same path, with the option to swim part of the way. Throughout this excursion, your certified guide will share important information about the only tropical rainforest in the US Forest System, as well as intriguing facts about Puerto Rico’s culture and history, while ensuring you have a safe, enjoyable, and informative experience. After the tour concludes, we will stop at a local restaurant for a late lunch (food cost not included) before returning to San Juan or your initial meeting point.

Explore El Yunque National Rain Forest with a certified tour guide, we begin driving up the mountain about 3,000 feet above sea level. First stop will be at Yokahu tower, an obsevation tower to appreciate and take expectacular photos of El Yunque, second we’ll be making a stop at La Coca falls to see the beauty of this natural wonder, third we’ll be making a hike for approximately 45 mnts in one of the available trails (intermediate trail). Next stop is a waterhole stop for swimming in one of the available rivers (swimming optional). Britton observation tower. It’s elevated at 3,087 feet over the sea level. And you’ll be rewarded with an amazing, 360-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean, metropolitan area, and Caribbean Sea. If you’re lucky, you can even see Puerto Rico’s islands of Culebra and Vieques!

This path has tons of exotic plants and beautiful birds to see, the guide will share all the details about the flora and fauna of this amazing place. At the Tinajas natural pool and waterfalls, you will be able to swim on fresh waters and have an option to be a little adventurous on a swinging ropes, or even jump up to 30 feet high rocks. We will then proceed to another 5-10 minute hike to a natural pool with a 20 feet natural WATERSLIDE and with an optional 30 feet high jump from a rock. We will hike an off the beaten path trail for 25-40. At this path there are plenty of exotic plants and birds to see. At the Tinajas natural pool and waterfalls, you will be able to swim in crystal clear waters and have an option to adventure on a swinging rope, or even jump up to 15 feet high rocks. We will then proceed to another 5-10 hike to a natural pool with a 20 feet natural WATERSLIDE and with an optional 3 feet high jump from a rock. For this tour, guests must have their own rental car. Cabs or Ubers won’t arrive to the location. Parking Fees are not included. If you are traveling with a large group, no problem. We will gladly accommodate! Please note that we do not take guest into the National Park, the park is a small portion of the rainforest.

This hike is to areas in El Yunque that are quite virgin, meaning that human interaction in the area is minimal. El Yunque is a unique ecosystem, quite different from any other areas.
